AIA-WJ Emerging Professionals will observe "Technology Month" with a tour of NextFab, a co-working facility specializing in digital design/prototyping and advanced fabrication techniques. Join us for an in-depth tour of the NextFab "makerspace", including metal shop, wood shop and 3D printing studio.
Jackie Gusic, AIA of InHabit Architecture & Design was the Project Architect of the NextFab building renovation, and she will join us on the tour to answer questions about the facility's design and discuss the unique challenges of the project. The tour will begin at 6:00 PM and last an hour, to be followed by a caual networking and information session at a local pub/eatery.
Transportation: NextFab is a 14 minute walk from the SEPTA Broad Street Line (Ellsworth Federal Station), and just minutes from SEPTA bus service. Street parking is available.
